Four Years!

Four years ago today this little man came into our lives.

We gave him a special name, but he grew into his own special nickname. He rolled over late but gave us smiles ahead of schedule. He took forever to crawl but he wormed his way into all our hearts from day one. He took his own sweet, Sniggett, time to walk, but maybe he was just waiting until he could show off for family. He is very much a show off. His teeth may be crooked, but I know that because he’s always grinning at me. He has his daddy’s brown eyes and chin - eyes that glitter with laughter and a chin that is adorable even when he’s pouting.

Ian still loves trains and cars. He adores building Lego ships. What is best in the world of Ian? Playing Mario Cart with “Bubba” and having a raging Nerf war afterwards. He’s still my cuddle bear but he increasingly longs for “fwends” of his own to run and play with.

When we move to the new house we’re buying him a outdoor playset. He’s already assigned the swings to his cohorts in mayhem and decreed that only Daddy is allowed in the “fort”. That will be a few more weeks, so today we’ll be having a small party of dairy free cupcakes, presents and hugs. Hopefully he won’t cry, this year, when we sing Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday my darling baby, my gift from God, my handsome one, my Sniggett, my boy.
