Ian's room used to be the guest room. When we moved to this house that particular room was a lovely Pepto-Bismol pink. Since we really didn't need an entire room of color that reminded us of indigestion, we re-painted the room in tans and palm tree greens. It became "The Cabana Suite".
Being second time parents and too busy/lazy to re-paint, we kept the wallpaper and paint the same when the Cabana Suite became "Baby Brother's Room". We needed a nursery theme to go along with the palm tree border. Repeating rows of umbrella drinks and tropicana girls being, oddly, unavailable in infant bedding, we decided on an animal and Noah's ark theme.
Granny, my mother, came through with flying colors. She found the perfect material and crafted sheets, pillow shams. bumper pads, curtains, and a diaper stacker. Click on the picture of Ian enjoying his mobile (he doesn’t actually sleep in the crib you know) to see close up shots of Granny's wonderful work.
Thanks Grannny!
